The Cape Town Concert Series welcomes the return of violinist Avigail Bushakevitz who brings her string trio to South Africa.

The Franz Trio consists of violin, viola and cello with Ernst-Martin Schmidt and Constance Ricard. The programme –Musique Pour Faire Plaisir- (Music to please) features works by Beethoven, Cras and Françaix.

ABOUT THE TRIO

Avigail Bushakevitz, Ernst-Martin Schmidt and  Constance Ricard met in Berlin and launched the trio in 2017.  In their first concert the three musicians from South Africa, Germany and France played the B-flat major trio by Franz Schubert – a composer they all love and after whom they named their ensemble. Since then, they have performed regularly in Germany and France. The musicians interpret both the classical repertoire alongside string trios of the 20th century- mixing popular works with those rarely performed.  This concert forms part of a country wide tour of South Africa during October.
